Fielding joins bill for TCT comedy night

Comments

Mighty Boosh star Noel Fielding has been added to the line-up for the Teenage Cancer Trust comedy extravaganza, it was announced today.

The event - hosted by Mathew Horne and James Corden - will also feature QI panellist and QI, 8 out of 10 Cats team captain Sean Lock. The event is the finale to a week of fundraising events and takes place on March 29.

The event coincides with the recent launch of Horne and Corden’s BBC3 series and the release of their movie Lesbian Vampire Killers which is out this weekend.

For Fielding this will be a return booking after four previous appearances, the last being in 2008. He said: “I am pretty over excited about playing for Teenage Cancer Trust again. Its always a brilliant night and I’m bowled over by Teenage Cancer Trust’s work with young people. Being a teenager can be pretty messed up as it is, imagine having cancer at the same time. “

Also on the bill is comic and actor Nick Mohammed, fresh from his critically acclaimed comedy series 4Quarters for Radio 4, and a sell-out run at London’s Soho Theatre. Another addition is Jack Whitehall who got his big break in the finals of Five’s So You Think You’re Funny and also presented Celebrity Big Brother's Big Mouth.

The brainchild of The Who’s, Roger Daltrey CBE, the TCT gigs raise money to help the charity provide the best possible care and support for young people with cancer.
