This week one of the world's most important music events, South By South West, takes place in Austin, Texas. It has now become a hugely influential showcase for new bands, building a reputation among the movers and shakers about the 'next big things'. You won't be able to move for press releases over the next few months from bands who claim to have been 'THE buzz band at SXSW'.Q will again be on hand to check out the action (our editor in chief Paul Rees will be sending back regular blogs to let you know what has been going on) and hosting a party - in conjunction with Guitar Hero - featuring an array of top talent. Our show on Saturday March 21 features a line-up of Graham Coxon, The Delta Spirit, Jay Jay Pistolet, Pete And The Pirates, Fanfarlo and You Me At Six.
To celebrate our event, our kind partners at Guitar Hero have given us six copies of the forthcoming Guitar Hero Metallica game to give away - the latest version of the world-conquering game - in a simple competition. You can enter the world of Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo and experience the intensity and skill of one of the greatest bands of all time.
Shred on the guitar controller, rip on the drum kit controller and wail on the mic to a set list featuring over 45 explosive hits from Metallica’s illustrious career and a wide variety of other legendary artists personally selected by the band, such as Alice In Chains, Bob Seger, Foo Fighters, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Queen.To be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is answer the following question correctly and your name will be entered into a draw.
