Killers added to Hard Rock bill

The Killers have been added as headliners for this summer's Hard Rock Calling shows as organisers of the event have extended the festival to three days, it was announced today.

The Vegas quartet join join Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen to top the bill at the Hyde Park, London, shows which take place in June.

The event - which takes place over the same weekend as Glastonbury - will now start on Friday, June 26, and The Killers will play on the first night. They will share the bill with The Kooks, and later in the summer will play T In The Park and the V Festival.

Tickets for the Hard Rock show - for which further bands will be announced shorlty - go on sale at 9am on Friday.

  • call me daft , i know , but had no idea they were american , it never even crossed my mind , they sound so british , ive bought all theyre albums, and i consider them to be the creme de la creme of indie rock. awesome

  • I concur with Ant, The Killers are by far and away the best ever indie-rock band, beating the likes of REM, as far as i'm concerned, the Day & Age album is going to be one of those all time classics, it is so unique, a different sound, such awesome quality, I love this band to bits, especially Brandon Flowers, he is ace, they all are, but him in particular, saw them live, and have been hooked ever since.
