Oasis and The Killers were today announced as the headliners for this summer’s V Festival.
The event – which takes place over the weekend of August 22 and 23 – will also feature acts such as Elbow, Razorlight, Snow Patrol, Keane and The Specials.
V2009 will again take place over two sites, Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire, with a bill alternating between the two locations.
So far the line-up is as follows:

Faith No More are to reform as a headliner for the Download festival at Donington Park this summer, it was announced today.
The band will be back together 11 years after they split. The band were among the pioneers of the rap/rock crossover in the late 1980s, notably with their breakthrough track We Care A Lot. After singer Chuck Mosley was replaced by Mike Patton, the band went on to greater success with tracks such as From Out Of Nowhere. And Epic.
Also headlining this year’s Download – which runs from June 12 to 14 – will be Slipknot and Def Leppard.
