Roses to reform?

Comments

The Stone Roses are planning to reform according to reports today. The band have pencilled in at least 21 dates in the UK for later this year which marks the 20th anniversary of their debut album's release, The Mirror claimed.

The band split in 1996 shortly after a disastrous appearance at Reading Festival following the departure of guitarist John Squire, with Aziz Ibrahim - later a long-time collaborator of singer Ian Brown during his solo career - filling in.

There have long been rumours that the band would bury the hatchet for a reunion, usually hastily denied by the band members themselves. However, last year bassist Mani - now of Primal Scream - said the only stumbling block was getting Brown to agree to the reunion.

“Me, John and Reni are up for doing it and Ian just needs some working on," he said.
