Marshall Mathers a.k.a. rapper Eminem has revealed the artwork for his new album, an image created from pills and drugs in the wake of his admission of a three-yeard drug hell. The star revealed the artwork via his twitter page.
No stranger to occasional self-mocking or biographical reference in his lyrics, the rapper - who recently spoke about his past problems with a sleeping pill addiction - has chosen a self-portrait made from a collage of pills and a mock prescription.
Produced by long-time collaborator and friend Dr Dre, Relapse is the first of two albums he's intending to release this year and is out on May 19.
Talking about the addiction to US hip-hop magazine XXL Eminem said, “I wasn’t ready mentally. I wasn’t ready to give up the drugs. I didn’t really think I had a problem. Basically, I went in, and I came out. I relapsed, and I spent the next three years struggling with it".
