Trent Reznor previews free NIN iPhone Application

Comments

Trent Reznor has previewed a new groundbreaking Nine Inch Nails iPhone application.

It was inspired after Reznor was fooling around backstage on his iPhone last summer and realised fans outside were doing the same, taking photos and posting from the event.

The app will allow users to access hours of fan created NIN remixes, watch live footage from concerts and interact with other NIN fans through integrated GPS functionality. Google Earth based technology will enable them to view posts and find fellow fans on NIN.com specific to their chosen locality, enabling them to have discussions and interact online as well as arrange offline meet-ups, attend gigs etc.

Currently awaiting final approval from Apple, the software is expected to be released free through the official iPhone app store sometime in April. Reznor and the techies are apparently already working on version 2.0 of the software.
