Glastonbury line-up 2009

Comments

After months of waiting, rumours, gossip and a few leaks along the way, we can finally give you the full line-up for this year's Glastonbury Festival. Of course, there are still a few surprises to be had - artists confirming nearer the time, or even moments before they go on-stage - but this is as complete as we can get it for now. Aside from the already-confirmed headliners such as Blur, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen, you can now see there is a return to Glasto for acts like Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Doves and Glasvegas.

  • Did someone rename the Pyramid stage, the Zimmer frame stage? Has it been remodelled to a zimmerframe shape. Something for everyonem but more than ever i'll be spending time away from main stages

  • What, no Billy Bragg or Glen Tilbrook this year? I will miss the Leftfield tent. Also, Ray Davis clashing with Neil Young, Black Eyed Peas with Blur with The Prodigy. Decisions decisions. Nice leak Q.

  • This lineup is different to the official site for the Friday Other stage. You'd think they could get them both the same!!

  • Loving the fact Lady GaGa is playing the John Peel stage.
I knew I heard him play one of her early 7-inches!

  • Mkaes you wonder if someone broke the embargo on the line-up announcement - interesting confusion in twitterspace - makes for fun reading on a Bank Holiday.

    Great line up, nevertheless!!

  • extremely disappointing line-up. Glastonbury definately should release a sort-of lineup before tickets go on sale - and certainly before you're able to cancel your ticket. Very very disappointing.

  • To the person saying there is no drum n bass, there is the G stage where people from RAM and Hospital will be there (incl. High Contrast, London Elektricity). The above lists the main stages only. Fear not, there are another 4 or 5 areas in the dance village. Then there are the late night areas.
There are over 1000 acts at Glastonbury, the above are just the stages that contain (amongst others) the people from the pop charts. If they announced all the dance acts etc, people that no nothing other than pop charts would get lost and complain and that would lead to bad publicity

  • btw, DJ Fresh is on The Glade as well

  • To the person who says the line up is disappointing
I've been going since 2004 and this is the best line up I've seen so far.
Fair enough the main stage line up is not that great, but the smaller ones are fantastic!
If you don't want your ticket now, did you take out insurance?
If you wanted to go just because of the line up, why did you buy your ticket in the first place?

  • Yah for the person who does not like the line up go to V Fest. This a class line up! I hope The Flaming Lips get anounced as special guests

  • Which way round are these list supposed to be? Usually the 'headline' act is a the top but for half of these its the other way round e.g. Park, Queens, Jazz World Saturday. Bit of a mess really Q

  • Why are the magic numbers not playing a bigger slot?
why is it the best festival with such weak bands?
I was pumped before this, it's a big let down in my opinion.
Still I hear they have pear cider......every cloud...!

  • Why on earth are Prodigy on at the the same time as Blur? They must appeal to the same fanbase.

Emily Eavis, if you're reading this - surely there must be a way for us 20-somethings to see both thse bands on the Sunday night?
