In the last couple of hours Muse have named their follow up to 2006's commercial and critical success Black Holes and Revelations. The Resistance was revealed on the Muse' twitter as the title of their fifth studio album.
The five times Q Award winners de-camped to Italy to record the album with Mark 'Spike' Stent (Oasis) producing. Lead singer Matt Bellamy has hinted at distinct shift towards classical influences on this record, being quoted in interviews as saying 'It's all very orchestral'.
Muse fan site muse.mu has confirmed one track United States of Eurasia as appearing on the album.
The Resistance is rumoured to be released in September, the band have already signaled their intention to tour later in the year in support of it.
