Poppy French foursome Phoenix are no strangers to Q. Thomas Mars, Christian Mazzalai, Deck D'Arcy and Laurent Brancowitz have been making music since 2000 so probably around the time Razorlight got their first pair of tight jeans and Kings of Leon started growing their hair.
Whilst both those bands have gone on to become household names, Phoenix are still relatively unknown here which is hard to fathom when you consider how catchy their songs are, Everything is Everything and Consolation Prizes being two prime examples from 2006's It's Never Been Like That.
New album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix looks set to change that and if the rest of it is as addictively hook-filled and breezy as first single Listztomania they could finally get the major breakthrough they deserve (as well as support from stations other than Q Radio).
Listzomania is released on May 18.
