Dylan and McCartney add Ringo?

Comments

Ringo Starr could be set join Sir Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan in a forthcoming collaboration.

Earlier this month Bob Dylan reacted positively to the idea of writing with McCartney when mooted by Rolling Stone

"That would be exciting - to do something with Paul", "But, you know, your paths have to cross for something like that to make sense".

McCartney's people got wind of the comments and suggested Sir Paul, who has previously made his admiration for Dylan known, might respond favourably "I should think he would be very interested in hearing about it. As you can imagine, it would be a pretty major thing if it went ahead."

Now the Daily Express is reporting that Ringo will join them to drum at sessions in Los Angeles this summer, “The word is Ringo is likely to play drums on a couple of tracks once Paul and Bob have put some songs together.”

Ringo who has a home in California close to both parties is seen as the ideal go-between “Ringo will be the perfect middle man between Bob and Sir Paul as he knows them both well.”
