A promoter in the US is suing Michael Jackson after it claims he reneged on a contract to play a reunion show for The Jackson 5.
AllGood Entertainment claims it made a deal with Jackson's previous manager in November of last year to produce the show intended for this summer.
The self-styled 'King of Pop' is currently scheduled for 50 dates at the O2 in London, beginning this summer however AllGood Entertainment claim that the contract stipulated Jackson would not perform anywhere else before the show or for three months following it.
Ira Meyerowitz, lawyer representing AllGood said they weren't looking to necessarily stop the O2 concerts, "What we're looking for is for our clients to be involved in the London concerts or be compensated for agreements they entered into," he stated.
Patrick Alloco, Managing Partner of AllGood explained they had tried to speak with the O2 promoters AEG but had yet to receive a response, "We've given Michael Jackson and AEG every opportunity, publicly and privately, to resolve this matter and to date we have not heard from anyone."
AEG Live are yet to comment on the lawsuit.
Do you think the O2 dates will go ahead? Have your say in the comments...
