Paolo Nutini's second album went straight to number one in the charts yesterday.
The Scottish singer-songwriter's new record Sunny Side Up removed Eminem from the top spot yesterday.
Co-produced with Ethan Johns (Ben Kweller, Ryan Adams, Kings of Leon) the album is a deliberate move away from the more straight singer-songwriter territory of 2006's These Streets. Whilst still rooted in traditional sounds, a mix of soul, jazz, country and rock'n'roll it's a far more soulful affair.
A full review of Sunny Side Up is in the current issue of Q Magazine (Q276 - Bruce Springsteen cover).
