Pete Doherty is due to appear in court today after being arrested in the early hours of this morning.
He is expected to face charges for driving, drink and drug offences after officers spotted driving erratically in Guildhall, Gloucester following his performance there last night.
Commenting on the arrest, a police spokesperson said "He's been charged with dangerous driving, possession of Class A drugs, drink driving and driving without a valid license and insurance" adding "He's been remanded in custody and he'll be appearing at Stroud Magistrates Court tomorrow morning [Friday].
As a result of the incident his gig this evening in Derby has been cancelled.
The arrest comes less than a week after an incident onboard a BA flight to Switzerland which resulted in Doherty being fined by Swiss police.
