Johnny Borrell has revealed Razorlight considered calling it quits after drummer Andy Burrow's (second left) quit earlier this year.
The talented drummer and multi-instrumentalist departed the band in March citing "personal reasons" and although the band seemed destined to carry on at the time, Johnny has revealed they considered hanging up their skinny jeans, "It was not at all certain that we were going to carry on. We had kind of rehearsed for it because we had exactly the same situation just after the first album, where Christian Smith-Pancorvo left, then Andy came in."
All is well again now in camp Razorlight with Andy being replaced by new drummer David "Skully" Sullivan-Kaplan. "He's a really great guy and an excellent drummer, so it all feels new and exciting" Borrell added.
The band are due to play a string of dates worldwide this summer including the following UK appearances:
July 9 - Eden Project, Cornwall
July 11 - T in The Park, Scotland
July 13 - Oxygen, County Kildare
Aug 22 - V Festival, Chelmsford
Aug 23 - V Festival, Stafford
