Thieves Like Us are a Paris based electro group with an international vibe. The trio are two parts Swedish, one part American. They all met in a park in Berlin in 2002, as you do.
Their music is as much of an amalgam as their nationality and chance meeting. It's electro for sure but it's roots and influences seem to shift by the track, sounding at times like it was inspired by the Human League,LCD Soundsystem, and even bits ofMGMT-like synth.
Single, Your Heart Feels is probably the coldest and most detached sounding track on their debut album Play Music. It's almost like Interpol if they became more dancey and bought a fuzz pedal for Carlos Dengler's bass. The lyrics repeat in the same rhythmic fashion though unlike Interpol, Thieves Like Us seem harder to pin down.
