Blur overcame illness at the last minute yesterday to headline T in the Park's closing night and perform what Damon described as their "last gig".
Fellow headliners Snow Patrol delayed the start of their set by an hour, with Gary Lightbody and co. taking to the stage at 8pm to make some time for Blur guitarist Graham Coxon who had been taken to hospital after being struck down ill, with what doctors suspect was food poisoning.
In a last minute dash the band finally took to the main stage at 10:15, around half an hour late launching into She's So High, Damon explaining to the crowd after "We nearly didn't make it, Graham literally walked out of a hospital to come here. He's alright. This is our last gig."
Well enough to enjoy a bit of a joke, Coxon teased the crowd during the band's set announcing "This is a new song" before launching into Coffee And Tv, their 1999 single.
Returning for a three song encore to their slightly shortened set, Damon thanked Blur fans for all their support "I want to thank everyone who's supported us, everyone who's given their heart and soul".
It's unclear whether the gig is their final gig as a band or merely the final gig of their scheduled dates, no doubt speculation will abound...
