Editors are back with a new album. We're excited to announce that aswell as returning with a follow up to 2007's An End Has A Start, Editors will play an intimate gig for Q at Sony Ericsson presents Q The Music Club at the Hard Rock Cafe and you could be there.
In This Light And On This Evening will be released on September 21. The album represents an interesting step forward for the band, with there being many changes to life in Editors since the 2007 record.
Bassist Russell Leech and guitarist Chris Urbanowicz are now resident New Yorkers whilst singer Tom has become a dad. Recorded in London with producer Flood at the start of 2009 the band were apparently determined to push their sound into wholly new territory with all four members were keen to make a far more electronic record, but still wanted to 'give the machines a human feel' in the words of Tom.
Now exclusively for Q readers, the band will preview songs off the record (and hopefully throw in a few hits) on September 7.
