William Fitzsimmons - Leave Me By Myself
The simple xylophone percussion that accompany William Fitzsimmons' mournful vocals on song should not be taken as a sign of immaturity. Like Elliott Smith and Iron & Wine before him, this Pittsburgh based singer songwriter is well versed in the arts of simplicity and subtlety. Often armed with only an acoustic guitar and his fragile voice, these trusty tools serve him well throughout the recently re-released album Goodnight.
Perhaps best known for his songs Passion Play and Please Don't Go, which aired during US medical dramas Grey's Anatomy and General Hospital respectively, this artist deserves more than the passing attention of a day time television viewer.

Update 28/07 Leave Me By Myself is no longer on William's Myspace. As an alternative here's It's Not True, another song from the album that's been gently waking us up on our trip into work into the Q offices in the morning... nice use of goats in the video!
