Bob Dylan quizzed by police

Comments

Bob Dylan was picked up by New Jersey police last month.

Police officer Kristie Buble questioned the music legend when residents in Long Branch, 30 miles outside New York, saw a suspicious character walking in the pouring rain before entering the yard of a nearby house.

Talking to Buble, the soaking wet Dylan stated that his name was indeed Bob Dylan and that he was currently touring with Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp, but in doing so not convincing the 24 year old Buble.

Buble said to ABC News that Dylan looked nothing like the pictures she had seen of him as he "was wearing black sweatpants tucked into black rain boots, and two raincoats with the hood pulled down over his head."

Dylan was then driven in the patrol car back to his hotel where his identity was swiftly confirmed by his passport.

According to various news sources, Dylan might have been looking for a previous residence of Bruce Springsteen, where he wrote classics such as Born to Run and Thunder Road.

Last year, Dylan made a surprise visit to the childhood home of Neil Young in Winnipeg and was this May seen mingling with tourists at John Lennon's old house in Liverpool.

Reports on Dylan visiting Pete Doherty's old home in Hexham is sadly unconfirmed.
