Charity 'My Inspiration' Calendar Released Next Week

Comments

HMV are issuing a range of limited edition charity calendars based on their successful 'My Inspiration' artist campaign, with proceedings of the 18-month 2009/10 calendar going to CLIC Sargent, which cares for children and young adults with cancer.

The calendar, which includes a foreword by Q Editor Paul Rees, features some of our biggest musical icons, including Paul McCartney, Noel Gallagher, Bono, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. Macca and Bono both quote lines from Bob Dylan songs as their inspiration, with Dylan himself quoting Scottish poet Robert Burns.

Started in September 2006 with David Bowie's choice of referencing the late Syd Barrett, the 'My Inspiration' campaign now includes over 150 artists ranging from renowned R'n'b producer and artist Timabaland to the first lady of France, Carla Bruni.

It also features the famous work of some of our greatest rock photographers, with the classic black and white portraits having been shot by Anton Corbijn, Dean Chalkley, Lawrence Watson and Adrian Boot among others.

The calendar comes with two different covers: a standard version highlighting all the featured artists, and a special limited edition run featuring Bob Dylan.

The 'My Inspiration' calendar can be found in HMV, Waterstones and on hmv.com for £7.99
