3. Warchild will receive a MOBO Award gong, the BeMOBO, for their ongoing humanitarian work at next week's ceremony in Glasgow.
4. AC/DC have a time ticker on their website, stating there will be an 'exciting announcement' on September 29.
5. Elton John's Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word has been voted the Labour conference theme people's choice in a PRS poll. The lead song for the Tories was ABBA's Money Money Money and the Lib Dems were summed up by Bros' When Will I Be Famous?.
6. Gary Lightbody is a very busy man indeed.
7. Nick and Chris from The Leisure Society have another band with a mystery man named Tim, called The Climbers.
8. Our new local pub has tried to bribe us into going there with home-made sausage rolls and chocolate brownies. That's dinner sorted, then.
9. Slash is writing material with Dave Grohl and Duff McKagan for his upcoming Slash & Friends album. Iggy Pop, Flea, Ronnie Wood and , er, Fergie are in the mix too.
10. Like jazz? Love Paris? A new Miles Davis exhibition, We Want Miles, is at the Cité de la Musique from October 16. Eight rooms of costumes, instruments, scores and more from be-bop to boxing. Nice.
