What we've learned today:
1. Muse did a Nirvana-style 'performance' at an Italian TV show, swapping instruments for a lip-synched rendition of Uprising. Matt Bellamy went behind the drum kit while drummer Dom took 'vocal' and 'bass' duties. Bassist Chris meanwhile, sported a very unplugged guitar indeed and a nifty synth.
2. Green Day has commisioned 21 original art-pieces inspired by the music of their album 21st Century Breakdown. The paintings will be diplayed at the StolenSpace Gallery in Shoreditch from October 22 to November 1.
3. Amy Winehouse has set up her own label. First artist on the roster: Winhouse's 13-year old goddaughter Dionne Bromfield, whose album will be released next month.
4. Ozzy Osbourne's autobiography is published on October 1. The Prince Of Darkness will sign copies of his book at HMV on Oxford Street the following day.
5. The second A Thing About Machines Art & Electronic Music festival takes place across various venues and galleries in Coventry on September 24. (That's Thursday!) For more info, visit www.athingaboutmachines.co.uk
6. Taylor Swift has forgiven Kanye. Now onto the Middle East.
7. Chas & Dave have split up. "A cultural earthquake" says C&D fan Carl Barat.
8. David Hasselhoff has an ear infection.
