The Heavy - How You Like Me Now?

Comments

In just two weeks time, The Heavy's second album The House That Dirt Built is released and, mark my word, it's incredible.

Filthy soul 'n'roll with infectious bass lines, astonishing vocals and thorougly addictive grooves, it comprimises some of the finest rock/blues/soul/funk tracks we've heard all year.

From that album then, is How You Like Me Now?:

A classic funk intro gives way to possibly the best drum sound of all year, a bass line deeper than hell, and builds towards a multi-instrumental racket of concrete beauty. It's James Brown and Curtis Mayfield for the twenty-first century, it's Prince, it's even bloody White Stripes.

And, needless to say, quite fantastic.
