Radiohead's Thom Yorke has teamed up with, among others, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea for two live dates at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles on October 4 and 5.
Also recruited in is long-term Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich as well as Joey Waronker and Mauro Refosco.
The as-yet unnamed group will perform songs from Yorke's critically acclaimed The Eraser as well as new songs. Writing on radiohead.com, Yorke stated : "We don't really have a name and the set will not be very long cuz ..well ...we haven't got that much material yet! But come and check it out if you are in the area.
This comes after a few busy weeks in the Radiohead camp that has seen drummer Phil Selway announcing a solo album and guitarist Ed O'Brien participating in a much-publicised debate on file-sharing.
Support for Yorke & co's LA dates will come from local act Lucky Dragons.
