The Flaming Lips have recorded a track-by-track cover of Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon.
The follow-up to Wayne Coyne & co's rather experimental Embryonic, only released last week, will see appearances from Henry Rollins, Peaches and has been made in collaboration with Coyne's nephew Dennis and his band Stardeath And The White Dwarfs.
A spokesperson stated that the re-working of the album, which has sold roughly 50m copies worldwide, would "initially" be an iTunes release, although no release date has been set.
More fun for those looking for a sync-up between the classic album and The Wizard Of Oz, then.

I love these guys. The Flaming Lips have the balls to do just about anything. Not only do they step out of the box - there is no box for those guys. I wrote a review of their new album at AudioADD.net - I'd love to hear what you think!
