Glastonbury 2010 sells out

Comments

Glastonbury 2010 has sold out within 24 hours. Tickets for the festival went on sale yesterday morning to users that had pre-registered through Glastonbury's official website.

Perhaps indicating the anticipation for what will be Glastonbury's 40th year, the £185 tickets were snapped up more quickly than recent years beating 2009, which took several weeks sell out, and 2008 when tickets were sold up until the event.

A statement on the Glastonbury Festivals website confirms, "Tickets for Glastonbury 2010 sold out just after 9pm on Sunday 4th October. Thank you to all those who bought tickets. Confirmation emails are still in the process of being sent out."

Offering a slight ray of hope to anyone that missed out, the statement continued, "For those who didn't manage to reserve or buy tickets today, there will be a small number of tickets on sale over the coming weeks when any failed transactions have been cancelled."

Bruce Springsteen, Blur and Neil Young headlined the 2009 Glastonbury Festival.
