West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum won the Best Album at this year's Q Awards with Russian Standard Vodka.
Singer Tom Meighan thanked Q readers for voting before stumbling into the true nature of the award: "Thanks for best live album....best live..best album", thus prompting host Al Murray to shout "Jesus Christ (...) pay attention you wankers!"
West Ryder...went straight to #1 in the UK charts, and has spawned four singles and a Mercury nomination. And now a Best Album award! Congratulations!
