What we've learned today:
1. Beck has composed, co-written, produced and mixed the new Charlotte Gainsbourg album.
2. Lady GaGa will embark on a solo US tour.
3. Kaiser Chiefs will play a one-off set at the charity CARE concert at Brixton Academy on November 2.
4. Biffy Clyro, office stereo favorites and Only Revolutionaries, have drafted in Josh Homme for a song on their upcoming album. Drummer Ben told the BBC: "When he [Homme] walks in the room he commands respect. He is very intimidating. You need two hands to shake one of his. He's a big sweetheart and a true rock and roller and I'm sure he could out party just about anyone."
5. Rock Band are launching an app for iphone and ipod touch later this month. Hopefully with a kill switch if played publicly on speakerphone.
6. Status Quo are annoyed that they have never been invited to appear on Later... with Jools Holland. Yes, so...are we?
7. Cock-rockers Turbonegro have no plans on making more albums.
