Snow Patrol - Just Say Yes

Comments

Do you remember before Chasing Cars and Final Straw were released? When Snow Patrol was merely an 'undiscovered' act, destined for great things? Neither can we.
Well, it's six years since Final Straw, which combined with 2006's Eyes Open and 2008's A Hundred Million Suns reportedly have sold more than 10 million copies.

Just Say Yes then, one of three new songs from the Scots forthcoming double-album compilation of singles, rarities and covers, is a step in a more electronica-tinged direction than before, Gary Lightbody's familiar soft vocals now layered over pounding beats and looping synths. It's undoubtedly still Snow Patrol, the love-ridden lyrics of Lightbody ever present amidst stadium-sized guitar lines and a sweeping chorus.

The band is embarking on a special 'Snow Patrol Reworked' UK tour in November which will see them re-interpret their biggest songs with the aid of special guests, string sections, choirs and more.

Snow Patrol's new compilation Up To Now is out November 9.
