Charlotte Gainsbourg, fresh from scaring the living daylight out of us with Antichrist (for which she won Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival), is returning to the musical scene early next year with a little help from her friend Beck Hansen.
Heaven Can Wait is a seductive and upbeat filmic pop effort from the pair, decidedly more oompah than your token Beck tune, but is charming, innocent and lands, oddly, somewhere in the vicinity of Aimee Mann.
As an added bonus, the song features one of the most compelling music videos of the decade; a delightfully Dadaist snippet directed by Keith Schofield, astronaut with pancakes for head included.
Gainsbourg's Beck-produced album IRM is out in January.
