What we've learned today:
1. Steven Tyler is rumoured to be fired from Aerosmith. In an interview with Classic Rock magazine, Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford stated the the band is considering replacing Tyler with a new vocalist.
2. Elton John has been released from hospital.
3. Online music store BlueBeat has removed The Beatles' back catalogue from their website after EMI won a court injunction against the them. BlueBeat that is, not the Fabs.
4. Pet Shop Boys are covering Coldplay and Madness on their upcoming Christmas EP.
5. Green Day, U2 and Placebo all won gongs at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
6. No Doubt have become the latest band to file a lawsuit against Activision. The band is unhappy with the portrayal of their characters in the Band Hero video game. Activision caused controversy in the Nirvana camp earlier this year, when the Kurt Cobain character in Guitar Hero could be seen tearing through songs by, among others, Bon Jovi.
7. Evanescence are back.
8. So are Happy Mondays. Shaun Ryder & co are set to play a Manchester Versus Cancer gig on December 12.
9. According to our team of highly sophisticated opinion-analysts, The Daily B-Sides have been missed. We missed you too.
