Q's Daily B-Sides #34

Comments

What we've learned today:
1. Paul McCartney has said that The Beatles weren't always well received by audiences when they first started playing. Said Macca: "We went to Stroud one day, and hardly anyone showed up. Then you used to have these Teddyboys, the louts, you know. They started throwing coins at us. So we ended up picking them up, got a couple of shillings richer!"

2. Jamie T is keen on starting a live covers band.

3. Ronnie James Dio has been diagnosed with stomach cancer.

4. Depeche Mode's Martin Gore has been subpoenaed in a rather eccentric lawsuit against the developers of fantasy video game World Of Warcraft. A Californian gamer, who feels that the game has alienated him from the real world, has requested Gore to testify due to his familiarity with feeling "sad, lonely and alienated".

5. Graham Coxon has recorded a soundtrack for an upcoming, British film. According to Coxon, it sounds like "Pink Floyd with fangs".

  • The border of a feeling.

    Sensibility is
    to watch in
    the garden a
    luminous light
    with a delicate
    sound now
    recalling
    the pleasure...

  • Hey Q people I loved the Postmarks single of the day from last week. Would love to see more songs posted on this group. Their new album is actually quite amazingly overlooked by the music intellegentsia in the UK!
