Florida trio The Postmarks' latest single Go Jetsetter is a strange one. With a sounsdscape resonating a sun-soaked Swedish countryside an awful lot stronger than oranges and beaches, the only thing more peculiar is their inclusion of a female singer named Tim.
But then again, that's as far as it goes for that ephemeral thought of "oh...ok then". For Go Jetsetter is one of those soothing and chirpy efforts whose unassuming nature compromises a lot more than it may give the impression of.
Tim Yehezkely delivers a treble-heavy and charming vocal performance in the style of say, The Cardigan's Nina Persson or Lykke Li on a track that, with a nod to Noah And The Whale, ultimately can trace its roots to Teenage Fanclub and post-Beatles George Harrison.
