Jackie Paper's real name is Dave Miatt and is better known as the guitarist with dancefloor-filling indiedisco outfit Thomas Tantrum.
Taken from What's Wrong With Broken Glass, a split EP with Lonely Joe Parker, the subtle All The Wine is a few miles off the coast of indieland, and marks a return to Paper's folk-inspired busking past, with clear musical nods to the late, great Elliott Smith.
An ode to the more frivolous sides of life, All The Wine promises "a killer cure that keeps the doctor away", and asks the listener to "come on over to dance and drink all night". Set to a backdrop of intriguing melodies and playful composition, Paper's request is highly alluring.
Vinyl copies of the split EP is available through Sotones, with proceeds going to Oxfam.

Nice track. Why does Dave Miatt look like an extra from Star Trek in the photo?

I like it. I think this track sounds more like Graham Coxon than Elliot Smith tho. Well done Jackie Paper :)
