Comments

What we've learned today:
1. 87-year old actor Christopher "Saruman" Lee will release an album of "symphonic metal" based around the life of King Charlemagne, the First Holy Roman Emperor. Now where did we place that Stonehenge stage prop...

2. Morrissey has split with his management. He is also still without a record contract. Oh. Dear.

3. Little Boots has joined anti-poverty campaign War On Want.

4. Conor Oberst's Monsters Of Folk have begun work on a new album.

5. Yoko Ono will publish her memoirs in 2015. Finally an answer to what the bloody heck Two Virgins was all about, then.

6. Ono will also pledge approximately £34,000 toward the survivors of tropical storm Ketsana which hit the Phillipines last September, claiming more than 500 lives.

7. New To Q headliner Ellie Goulding has come out top of the BBC Sound Of 2010 list.

8. Lady Gaga is to become the Creative Director for Polaroid, and will release her own range of Gagaoid (hopefully not the actual name) products in late 2010.

9. Slash turned down "hundreds of millions of pounds" to reform Guns 'n' Roses.

Daily Inane John Lennon Fact:
He was very particular about the preparation of English Breakfast tea. Still, he got it wrong for years until his aunt Mimi told him the correct way in early 1980. But by then etc.

Daily Office Highlight:
Burrito Friday. A noble tradition said to have originated in a time when four-legged creatures roamed the planet. Or just in Mexico sometime last year.

Oasis-Watch:
Noel Gallagher was spotted in Shoreditch. That's it. Which isn't very much at all to be honest.

Bay-Watch:
First and last in series as there are no bays near Q's offices.

Dictionary-defying Tabloid Headline Of The Day:
"Fwozen Out" (The Sun)

On The Office Stereo:
The Courteeners
Yeasayer
