In the run-up to the inaugural New To Q Sessions, we will each day present a track from one of the performers.
Critically acclaimed Zimbabwe/Hackney musician Tinashé, frequently heralded as 2010's most unique talent, blends his native influences with everything from pop and disco to afrobeat, rap and beyond, adding street poetry to a unique hybrid of everything the sun and the city have to offer.
A street-wise 25-year old bursting with creative ideas, Tinashé certainly deserves more than being labelled "Michael Jackson from East London". A greater audience should as such take notice.
His debut EP Mayday is out on February 15.
Tinashe is playing the New To Q Sessions on January 29. All gigs are now sold out.
