BRITs 2010: Winners in full

Comments

The BRITs 2010 is over. Lady Gaga went home smiling with three awards, the best showing for an international act since Scissor Sisters in 2005.

Kasabian bagged the British Group Award and shared their band philosophy with Tom ending his acceptance "You cannot make an omelette without breaking some eggs, THANK YOOOU!" and Liam, well he didn't break any eggs but he did snub Noel, thanking band members past and present but excluding him in his acceptance speech before paying homage to the Oasis fans for being the "f**king best fans" then disposing of the microphone and his BRIT for Oasis' Album of 30 Years Award into the audience - not quite a Jarvis or Chumbawumba moment but certainly not dull either...

Here's a quick re-cap on the who got what:

  • I can't believe Black Holes and Revelations by Muse is not in the British album of 30 years! There is no competition. I'm glad that tosser Gallagher threw his away!

  • Maybe not Black Holes and Revelations, but at least Absolution or Origin of Symmetry. Those albums have truly marked history.

  • You can'r compare Muse to Oasis-Muse are good, and I've seen them live-they're brilliant, but I've also seen Oasis live-and they're better! Muse haven't kickstarted or revived a whole music/cultural movement like Oasis did. The Gallaghers deserved it (albiet more Noel than Liam)

  • I'm not sure how you can compare Oasis to Muse tbh... Oasis didn't change anything, The Beatles changed music, the Beatles pretty much created music, and Oasis pretty much just followed on from the beatles. Muse are THE best live band i have ever seen, and they are producing music that millions of people love all over the world. Matt Bellamy would never walk on stage to collect an award on throw it off the stage and tell the audience that included other good musicians the fcuk themselves. Oasis are good dont get me wrong, but muse are in a class of their own and not enough people can see that because everyone is having this mainstream cover pulled over their eyes, which is hiding the real music out there today.

  • Oh My God!
Shakira didn't win again. Unfair, for the second time .... :( The only worthful candidate along with Shakira is Norah Jones... All other nominees suck...
