After being asked by Robert Del Naja to work on a project in conjunction with their new album, French director Edouard Salier and his team began creating the apocalyptic marvel that is Splitting The Atom's video.
A chaotic frenzy in dark and neo-dystopic surroundings, frozen in time with the camera exploring every detail of this remarkably intricate scene, its beauty lies within its austere appearance.
Says Salier of the film: The fixed moment of the catastrophe. The instant the atom bursts on the beast, the world freezes into a vitrified chaos. And we go through the slick and glistening disaster of a humanity in distress. Man or beast? The responsibility of this chaos is still to be determined.
The song, which originally appeared on the EP of the same name, features vocals from long-time collaborator Horace Andy.
