The androgynous vocals of Tim Crompton and Alexia Hagen are all over The Midnight Bell, the second single from their magnificent debut album The Sleep Tapes, out in March.
Both single and album revel in neatly manufactured shoegaze, heavy on synths and beautiful harmonies but low on noise, much like Dandy Warhols circa Dandys Rule OK produced by Hot Chip. It's an enticing and clever blend that never falter but then again never fully rids you of a feeling that you might be sleepwalking.
The Sleep Tapes is released March 8.
