Cash For Questions - Paul Weller

Comments

Paul Weller will be the next person to undergo a Q reader's grilling. There are few musicians who've had the same impact on British music or sustained such lengthy and interesting careers as 'The Modfather'. From his early days in The Jam penning albums In The City and The Gift through to his work with The Style Council and critically lauded solo albums such as Wild Wood and Stanley Road, he has inspired a generation of young musicians, including the Gallagher brothers amongst them.

His new album Wake Up The Nation (out April 2010) is the first solo release of his to feature a contribution Bruce Foxton of The Jam, and also the first album to come out since his father and long term manager John Weller passed away from Pneumonia, aged 77.

I know you don't like to speak about bands reforming and doing reunion tours....I know its not always about the money, sometimes there are deeper issues with in the band itself eg personality clashes etc.....But do u ever think that The Stone Roses will get back together...lol....Didn't wanna ask the obvious question

Anyway, if you woiuld like to wake up the nation, who are the political role models that young people may aspire to these days. My own favourites - Benn, Skinner etc have either retired or near to it. Who should young people look to in the way that I looked up to you, Billy Bragg, the Redskins, Easterhouse and other such 'activists'? Best wishes
