First Aid Kit - I Met Up With The King

These Swedish sisters are due to release their second single from The Big Black & Blue this week. More harmonies harking to the likes of Fleet Foxes, Feist, and Bon Iver are on display.

At just nineteen and sixteen years of age, these two are quickly proving that age is just a number, with incredibly self assured vocals. The mantra of the Soderburg sisters is "we aim for the hearts, not the charts". I Met Up With The King is a song about fallen stars, championing the voiceless, and social outcasts.



Klara and Johanna came to prominence when Rabbid records, owned by fellow Sweedish electro group The Knife, launched their album. When Witchita re-issued their EP with a fantastic Fleet Foxes cover and then launched their album in the UK, the fan-base grew, as did the tour dates.

With a string of upcoming SXSW dates, First Aid Kit may not be representing fallen stars for too long. The Duo make their first trip to America and begin playing on the 17th of March. Here are the dates:
