Plan B - She Said

Plan B was a foul mouthed, angry, street kid from East London. Few will be able to believe the transformation into his new role as a 60's obsessed soul artist, under the pseudonym Strickland Banks.

Debut Who Needs Actions When You've Got Words was met with mixed reviews, some saw it's obscene grittiness as groundbreaking, while to others it was simply a vulgar inarticulate rant. Under his new guise, Ben Drew, the scizophrenic behind the muti-persona's, has truly reinvented himself. His new sound is soaked in the Northern Soul and Motown influences he used to enjoy while growing up in Forest Gate, but still retains the Urban existance that defined his childhood.

Drew sees his new project as being influenced as much by movies as music, "I'm a director but i'm choosing to do my films through music. Just close your eyes and listen to the story" he demands. The Urban fairytale is the story of a sharp-suited soul singer who finds fame with bitter-sweet love songs, but looses everything when he end up in prison after being framed for a crime he didn't commit.

The trailer for this new concept comes in the form of new single, She Said, in stores from 29th March. The song showcases the duplicity Plan B inhabits, with his singing being interspersed with the gruff rapping he is already synonymous with.
