Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm
One of the few indie bands around when we formed that really excited and inspired us. Arctic Monkeys are in a whole different league to their contemporaries.
At The Drive-in - Pattern Against User
Possibly the greatest live band of all time. This is what we put on before we go on stage to get the adrenaline going.
Death from Above 1979 - Turn It Out
A big track from one of James' favorite albums of all time.
Dizzee Rascal - I Luv U
Dizzee and other early grime acts influenced some of our very first tracks, leading us to be given the terrible 'grindie' tag. We've moved a long way away from that sound now but still love that scene and those artists.
Leftfield - Phat Planet
Leftfield's Rhythm and Stealth album was a big influence on the new record.
Noisia - Diplodocus
Noisia first remixed one of the tracks off our first album a few years ago, we loved what they did with them and asked them to produce the whole new album. They are phenomenally talented guys and we're massively pleased with their contribution to our new album.
Prodigy - Their Law
The original and greatest dance/rock crossover, absolute legends and still killing it live now.
Rage Against The Machine - Bombtrack
Another phenomenal live band, Zach De La Rocha's unique vocal style and Tom Morello's phenomenal riffs have always been a big influence on Hadouken.
Test Icicles - Circle, Square, Triangle
One of the bands that emerged just before we formed that really excited us. They arrived in a mad whirlwind of hype and both good and bad press, played a load of chaotic gigs, wrote some awesome tunes and imploded before anyone had really caught up with what they were doing.
The Chemical Brothers - Let Forever Be
Another big influence on the new album.
Album For the Masses is out now
