Glastonbury Festival organisers have this morning announced that Shakira will peform at this year's festival. The multi-platinum selling star will be taking to the Pyramid stage on Saturday, June 26.
Confirming the addition Festival co-organiser Emily Eavis said "Shakira is not only an amazing pop star but also socially and politically forward thinking; she's working incredibly hard for good causes around the world." adding, we feel honoured to have the She Wolf herself come to Worthy Farm."
And from the She Wolf herself, "I'm really looking forward to playing Glastonbury this year and being a part of their 40th anniversary. Glastonbury is famous for being one of the best festival crowds so I'm sure I'll have a great time."
