All this week Communion are presenting our Track of the Day - today they've opted for a gorgeous folk ballad from Matthew and the Atlas and made it available for you to download. Kev Jones introduces it...
Matthew and the Atlas first came to our attention when Ben met him after he supported Mumford and Sons last year. Matthew is such a lovely and unassuming man but his voice is extraordinary and was impossible to ignore, there's such wisdom and character to it. This song was recorded last winter as huge flakes of snow fell around the studio, nestled in the crypt of a church in North London - it was pretty atmospheric to say the least! What I love about this song is that the more you listen to it the more you find in it, it's the hidden gem on his EP 'To The North', released in April of this year.
