Seth Lakeman will play an exclusive Q gig in Manchester as Q The Music Club live at the Hard Rock Cafe heads north for two months.
On July 8, the Devon born folk sensation and former Mercury Prize nominee will preview tracks from his fifth studio album Hearts and Minds at Q The Music Club live at the Hard Rock Cafe. Having been hailed within the folk scene from which he emerged, he's performed the unlikely, maintaining credibility there - winning the award of BBC Folk Singer of the year 2007 whilst tasting mainstream success through infectious ballads like the Lady of The Sea and White Hare.
He can surely also take some credit for opening the door for the current folk resurgence with his album Kitty Jay creating the right environment for Laura Marling and Mumford & Sons to follow in his wake.
