Chapel Club - Five Trees
It's that time of the year again. Glastonbury festival is finally about to commence once more. Thousands of lucky ticket holders are unpacking their tents and wondering how to put them up. The sun is shining and at the 40th anniversary of the event, many are debating whether this is to be a welly free year.
After a crowded stage saw England triumph against Slovenia, today the crowds will be cheering again as the live music begins. Thursday's line-up kick starts the action with The Queen's Head stage hosting acts including the hotly tipped Local Natives making an appearance as well as The Cheek, Two Door Cinema Club, and Q competition winners My Luminaries.
Also lighting up the stage will be this London based five-piece. Chapel Club's sparse, atmospheric sound is akin to that of fellow contemporary Londoners, White Lies, touching similar territory as the influential Echo And The Bunnymen or Joy Division. Their current single Five Trees is an incredibly catchy number, changing pace between the shoe-gazing moments and a fast, driven chorus which will inevitably leave along lasting impression.
