Glasto Special: The National - Bloodbuzz Ohio

As the festival moves into its third day The National are going to be the band on everybody's lips with their mood laden brand of anthemic rock. This group can count Barack Obama among their growing list of fans. He used their song Fake Empire during his successful election campaign.

Their fifth studio album, High Violet, was released in May this year. The record saw the group reach incredible heights, becoming one of the most loved cult phenomenon's in America and the UK. Today's festival appearance could well see them move further into the cannon of great artists. Glastonbury can often placate a band, The National could be about to produce one of the festivals most iconic moments.
