Oasis week on Qthemusic.com - Day 5: - Little By Little
Rounding off a delightful Oasis week is the amazing Little By Little. This was part of the only ever double A side released by the band, with She Is Love being the second part of the joint release. Similar to the ballad structure Noel has complained about earlier this week, this track picks up pace with memorable guitar solos and ambiguous lyrics which seem to ponder the meaning of life and everything within it.
The below video features a guest appearance by a tiny Robert Carlyle. If you fail to spot him at the start, don't worry he gets bigger. Each band member makes a cameo appearance too, Noel is a busker while Liam turns up as an apostle in a pure white coat, we will never know who had the biggest ego between the two brothers.
Time Flies hit's the shops on Monday. Hopefully this week has reminded you just exactly why Oasis became a worldwide phenomenon. Love them or loathe them there's no denying the impact of a group who provided us with 27 singles, for over 15 years Oasis lived the rock'n'roll lifestyle and arrogantly declared themselves to be the greatest band in the world. Great artists court controversy and this group were undeniably great and at times entertainingly controversial.
